Alright guys, Dragon Ball Super is over so what could replace the void left until the movie comes? Another one of my childhood show getting a reboot of course! To fill that nostalgia gap! Captain Tsubasa is back!
And episode 1 was amazing! The series will have two seasons of 26 episodes each. The first season is a re-telling of the Kid's Dream story (so elementary school arc) but the second season is apparently going to be original content. And to top it off the studio running this is.
Mostly known for their recent JOJO adaptations which get praised for their animation quality. You can definitely get that JOJO vibe in Tsubasa and it fits perfectly, after all Tsubasa has also always been completely over the top in its actions. So basically even if you've never watched or read captain tsubasa I would suggest you give it a try, it doesn't rely on nostalgia alone and is a good show regardless.
